Lounges.tv – Lounges.tv is a global live streaming and creator monetisation platform enabling artists, promoters, and venues to convert sold-out and capacity-limited events into ticketed digital experiences.
Launch Africa Ventures – Launch Africa Ventures is a pan-African early-stage venture capital firm investing in high-growth technology startups across the continent.
Pan African venture capital firm Launch Africa Ventureshas invested in Lounges.tv, the global live streaming and monetisation platform. The deal is aimed at expanding the platform’s creator infrastructure across the continent.
According to the announcement, the investment seeks to address a gap in Africa’s creator economy where artists, promoters, and venues currently lack dedicated tools to monetise digital audiences.
Lounges.tv enables ticketed live streaming for events that are sold out or limited by physical capacity, converting venue constraints into digital revenue streams.
The platform operates on a revenue sharing model where partners retain 80% of ticket revenue, with payments issued within 24 hours of an event’s conclusion. Lounges.tv has streamed thousands of live events across music, sports, and entertainment.
“Africa represents significant opportunity for creator monetisation infrastructure,” said Scott Green, CEO and Co Founder of Lounges.tv. “The continent has strong live entertainment markets but limited digital tools for creators to capture revenue beyond physical venues. Our mission is simple: no sold-out event should leave digital revenue on the table.”

Initial focus markets for the expansion include South Africa, Nigeria, and Ghana, with plans to grow further across Africa. The partnership will involve collaborations with venues, sports organisations, and digital creators to develop monetisation infrastructure.
Lounges.tv has previously worked with artists including Nile Rodgers and Jamiroquai. In March, the platform will stream a sold out London show by Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie. Shareholders in Lounges.tv include entertainment executive Simon Cowell.
African Live Entertainment Is Experiencing Growth, But Monetisation Infrastructure Lags Significantly. Artists And Venues Need Tools To Capture Digital Revenue Without Sacrificing Audience Ownership To Platforms
Janade Du Plessis, Launch Africa Ventures
Janade Du Plessis, Co Founder and Managing Partner at Launch Africa Ventures, stated: “African live entertainment is experiencing growth, but monetisation infrastructure lags significantly.
Artists and venues need tools to capture digital revenue without sacrificing audience ownership to platforms. Lounges.tv addresses this through transparent economics and by positioning creators as platform owners rather than suppliers.”
The African expansion forms part of Lounges.tv’s broader international growth strategy.
